Upcoming live shows and I have a favour to ask of you

2024 Live Shows!

Hi everyone!

I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Your support meant so much to me last year, I wanted you to be the first to know about my 2024 upcoming live shows.

And if you stick with me, I have a huge but simple favour to ask of you at the end of this email.

So, here we go:

Local Shows, North East UK

If you are based in the North East, UK, I wanted to take a moment to invite you to two special upcoming shows this year.

20th April, HMV Darlington

The first is a totally FREE show on Saturday the 20th April at 2pm in the HMV Darlington record store.

I will be performing songs off the album, which is available to buy in store and a few new songs that you may not have heard before.

Below is a photo of last year when I played there for the first time.

3rd May, supporting MG Boulter at Toft House, Middlesbrough

At the end of last year I was invited to play at Toft House for the first time, supporting Speak for Yourself. It was a gorgeous venue with a wonderful audience, so I was over the moon when I was invited to come back and support the renowned MG Boulter later this year.

M G Boulter is a singer songwriter whose song writing has been described as “Highly Recommended” by the Independent on Sunday and his second album “With Wolves the Lamb Will Lie” was listed as one of the ‘Best Folk Albums of 2016’ by the Daily Telegraph.

I'm feel really honoured to get to play here and let's just say if you've ever heard me perform live before, then this show may be a little different than expected...but more on that in another email...

Now, for that little favour...

My album turns ONE this year on February 14th. Happy birthday album!

We sold all physical copies of the album last year and I am in the process of a reprint. I'm also looking at ways to make them easier to access online. One of those avenues is Amazon.

I noticed that the Jay Moussa-Mann album has a lovely page on Amazon Music but as yet no reviews. Insert sad face here.

If you have listened to and enjoyed this album, it would mean a lot to me, but more importantly it would be good for the album, if you might find a few minutes to go and leave a short review.

As a society, me included, we tend to choose our entertainment based on other people's recommendations, so see these reviews as your recommendation to someone else who perhaps hasn't listened to my songs yet. You don't have to say much, just a star rating and maybe a sentence or three words to describe how this album made you feel would be perfect.

If you're unsure, here is Amazon's guide to leaving a review:

Thank you so much and I really hope to see you at one of my upcoming shows later this year!

lots of love

Jay x

I've wanted to release a live album for a very long time. It may not seem a big deal, but actually, especially for an independent artist, catching the right performance on the right night with the right sound engineer is much harder than you think. That's why I'm so pleased to tell you that I'm finally putting out my first live album! "Jay Moussa-Mann Live from Toft House" was recorded at the start of year while supporting Steve McCormick + Tokyo Rose by the brilliant Chris Allon at Toft...

My new song "amy" is out today. Watch the video on YouTube: I hope you enjoy my new song as much as I do. It was a lot of fun to write and record, the 4th release this year that I have fully produced myself. Listen to it on whatever platform you like from today. love Jay x

Rebecca, Rivalries, and Rock & Roll Elizabeth Taylor and Debbie Reynolds. Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie. Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber. These are to name but a few of the famous women pitted against each other by the media. We love to read it, the media love to write it. I wrote my latest song “millie and sadie” after hearing someone compare two female actors who I adore, declaring that one was a better actor than the other. millie and sadie Jay Moussa-Mann PREVIEW The irritation it...
